Long rolled sections are generally accepted world standards of graded rolled metal, which, according to its purpose, is a blank for further production.

The product has its own specific geometric shapes with a cross section. There are the following types of rolled steel:

• Circle – or its other name on the market – armature. It is a type of rolled steel, used in the reinforcement / strengthening of various reinforced concrete structures. It has the appearance of a steel rod with a round cross-section with a characteristic corrugated surface and bears the international name A500C or A-lll. Also, on the rolled metal market, there is a smooth armature made of carbon steel, which does not have a relief on the surface. It has the designation A240C or A-l. This type of product is actively used in the production of reinforced concrete products.
• Square is a bar with a square section, produced from carbon steel by hot rolling the metal. The sides of the square can be in the range of 6-200 mm. on the market. There is a square of high, normal and increased  accuracy. The length of the products can be measured, non-measured, multiple measured. The length of this rolled metal depends on the quality of the steel and can be from 1.5 to 12 m. If the side of the square bar is no more than 14 mm, then this product can be supplied in coils. The square is widely used in construction, in the production of machine parts (axles, shafts, bushings), in various welded and bolted structures, in the manufacture of fences, gratings, and gates.
• A rectangle is a universal type of rolling, obtained also by the method of hot rolling. The method of manufacturing this product consists in cutting metal sheets or rolls into elongated bars. Widely used in construction.
• Hexagon is one of the types of graded rolled steel, often used for the manufacture of fasteners and products in the metalworking industry.

Shaped steel sections are the products manufactured strictly according to GOST, which is already ready for further use and does not require further processing. The main function of shaped rolled steel is to strengthen structures: load-bearing elements and frames. The following subspecies are distinguished:

channel, I-beam, metal corner, steel pipe, railway and tram rails, as well as profiles for strengthening mines and other special rolled profiles.

• Channel is a popular type of product, has a U-shaped cross-section. It is used in industry and in the construction of large structures, such as: bridges, long-span trusses, in columns, ties and roof purlins. The finished product has a thickness from 0.4 to 1.5 cm, the height of the walls – from 5 to 40 cm. This rolled product is divided into two types: parallel, where the faces inside the channel are located strictly parallel, and inclined, where the faces inside are placed at an angle.
• I-beam is a longitudinal profile that has a cross-section in the form of the letter “H”. It is formed by two parallel shelves and connects them with a wall. These products are classified as follows: according to the slope and location of the edges of the shelves; by method and field of application; by manufacturing technology; according to the materials used. I-beam with parallel shelves is more economical due to the ratio of mass and load-bearing capacity of rolled metal. The length of this rolled metal can reach 24 m.
